Wednesday Morning Bible Study Summer 2016
He Will Come Again in Glory
To Judge the Living and the Dead
This summer the Wednesday Morning Bible Study group will focus on several passages of scripture that refer to the Judgment Day. This is, of course, one of the central mysteries of our faith tradition. It is affirmed in both the Apostle’s Creed and the Nicene Creed.
In the Orthodox tradition, the third Sunday in Lent is known as the “Sunday of the Last Judgment.” In our western Catholic tradition this theme has generally been given less emphasis. The Judgment is most dramatically portrayed in Michelangelo’s panoramic painting above the altar of the Sistine Chapel. Plan to join us at 10:30 on Wednesday mornings for ninety minutes of lively discussion and fellowship as we explore the meaning and implications of this biblical theme.

The Day of Wrath when God’s righteous judgment will be revealed
Session 2 July 13 Matthew 25: 31-46
When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit upon the throne of his glory
Session 3 July 20 Revelation 20:11-15
