Wednesday Morning Bible Study Spring 2016
Thy Kingdom Come
At the beginning of his public ministry Jesus spent time in the village of Capernaum. As he was about to depart he said to the people of that village, “I must proclaim the good news of the Kingdom of God to other towns also, because that is what I was sent to do.” (Luke 4:25) Throughout the gospel narratives we find numerous references to the Kingdom.” Jesus urged his followers to “seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness.” (Matthew 6:33)
This spring the Wednesday Morning Bible Study group is revisiting some of the parables and teachings of Jesus that refer to the Kingdom. What is this Kingdom for which Jesus urged his disciples to pray? How does the Kingdom of God relate to our life in twenty-first century America? Plan to join us on Wednesday mornings for ninety minutes of lively discussion and fellowship.
