Sharing
Andrew Carnegie, the industrialist, wrote that life is divided into thirds – 1st-education, 2nd-making money, 3rd-giving all money away. In following his own idea, he created 3,000 lit in the United States, United Kingdom, & Canada. He also donated 7,000 church organs as well as endowing Carnegie-Mellon University & many other projects. He saw wealth as a way of improving society for all, wealth was for sharing.
The first Pentecost was the time the Holy Spirit set those first disciples on fire for sharing the good news of Jesus, for sharing Jesus in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, & to the far reaches of the earth. Like us, they seemed to want to keep Jesus all to themselves & the Holy Spirit blew them in to action, into sharing, into all the world.
