April 14, 2019 – Susquehanna Saxophone Ensemble

Musicians:

Dr. Gail Levinsky is Associate Professor of Music at SU where her responsibilities include teaching applied studies in saxophone, chamber music, instrumental pedagogy, and woodwind methods. 

Dr. Jaime Namminga is a lecturer in music, staff pianist, and coordinator of the accompanying area at Susquehanna University.

Jonathan Deysher, is a senior Bachelor of Arts in Music major at Susquehanna University, grew up in the Selinsgrove area & graduated from Selinsgrove Area High School. On campus, he is the university jazz band manager, lead recording technician, and a collegiate member of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia.

Emma Mooradian, is a senior Music Performance major at Susquehanna University from Portland, Maine. Besides playing the saxophone, she enjoys drinking coffee and walking her cat.

Melanie Sonatore, a junior at Susquehanna University, is currently working towards a Bachelor of Arts in Music with a minor in Music Technology. She grew up in East Brunswick, New Jersey and graduated from East Brunswick High School. On campus, she helps coordinate the technological aspects of events and recitals in the music department through her job with the recording booth crew.

Kirby Leitz, a sophomore music education with an emphasis in saxophone and a performance grant in piano. He grew up in Richboro, Pennsylvania and graduated from Council Rock High School South. On campus, he performs in numerous ensembles and is a member of the National Association for Music Education as well as Phi Mu Alpha.

John LaRotonda, a first year at Susquehanna, us currently majoring in music education. He grew up in Millville, PA and graduated from Millville Jr./Sr. High School. On campus he is a member of the Pennsylvania Music Education Association, and the Susquehanna University Wind Ensemble and Concert Band, as well as the SU Jazz Band.

Mikayla McClure-Carpenter, a first year at Susquehanna University, is currently majoring in a Bachelor of Arts in music. She grew up in Westbrook Maine & graduated from Westbrook High School.
